Here’s how each 2014 Texas pledge performed in Week 2 and what lies ahead for the future Longhorns in Week 3 of the Texas high school football season. (* denotes district games)

QB Jerrod Heard – No. 3 Denton Guyer (5-4A)
Overall: 1-2 District: 0-0
Last week:  Guyer topped Flower Mound Marcus 35-17 thanks to a big day rushing the ball. Heard contributed 141 yards and three scores on 15 carries and also racked up 208 passing yards and a touchdown
* This week: at Azle 2-1
Season: 36/58, 538 yards, 3 TD, 2 Int; 55 rush, 401 yards, 3 TD

DE Derick Roberson – No. 2 San Antonio Brennan (28-4A)
Overall: 3-0 District: 0-0
Last week: The Brennan defense allowed its first points of the season in a 49-21 win over San Antonio East Central – a game expected to possibly be its toughest of the regular season. The defense totaled four sacks and allowed just 23 rushing yards.
This week: at 2-1 San Antonio Southwest (28-5A)

WR Armanti Foreman/RB D’Onta Foreman – No. 6 Texas City (24-4A)
Overall: 2-0 District 0-0
Last week: Armanti, the higher-rated of the duo, scored a touchdown and gained 26 yards on three receptions while three-star twin brother D’Onta rushed six times for 102 yards and two scores to lead sixth-ranked Texas City to a 49-7 win over Pasadena.
This week: vs. 2-0 Pasadena (22-5A)
Season: Armanti: 11 rec, 200 yards, 3 TD; 4 rush, 40 yards
Season: D’Onta: 37 rush, 353 yards, 9 TD

RB Donald Catalon – Aldine Eisenhower (18-5A)
Overall: 0-3 District 0-0
Last week: Catalon’s Eagles were dominated by Fort Bend Bush in Week 2, losing 37-0 and being out-gained 444-91. Bush has yet to allow a point this season.
This week: vs. 2-1 League City Clear Springs (24-5A)

S John Bonney – No. 5 Houston Lamar (20-5A)
Overall: 2-0 District: 0-0
Last week: No. 5 Lamar handed Beaumont West Brook its first loss of the season, 23-10. Led by Bonney, the Lamar Redskins defense has allowed just 16 points through three games.
This week: at 1-2 Alief Elsik (18-5A)
Season: 14 tackles, 1 INT, 2 passes defended

LB Otaro Alaka – Cy Falls (17-5A)
Overall: 0-2 District: 0-1
Last week: Cy Falls was upset by Springs, 20-18, in the two teams’ district opener.
*This week: vs. Cy Creek 2-0 (1-0)

WR Lorenzo Joe – Abilene Cooper (2-5A)
Overall: 1-2 District 0-1
Last week: Cooper lost its district opener to Midland Lee, 42-35. Joe amassed over 400 total yards and three touchdowns in the loss.

RB Kevin Shorter – No. 2 Newton (10-2A Division 1)
Overall: 3-0 District 0-0
Last week: Future Longhorn running back Kevin Shorter posted another big day in Newton’s 36-0 win over Orangefield. The senior rushed 17 times for 158 yards and two scores in the win.

Season: 39 rush, 499 yards, 6 TD; 5 rec, 87 yards, TD

C Terrell Cuney – Jasper (20-3A)
Overall: 1-2 District: 0-0
Last week: A 13-point fourth quarter for Kirbyville resulted in a 23-20 loss for Cuney and the Jasper Bulldogs in Week 2.
This week: vs. 2-1 West Orange-Stark (21-3A)

DE Sione Teuhema – Keller (4-5A)
Overall: 3-0 District: 0-0
Last week: Teuhema and the Keller defense shut down Hurst Bell in a 20-0 win to move to go a perfect 3-0 in non-district play.

LB Cameron Hampton – Dallas Carter (11-4A)
Overall: 3-0 District: 0-0
Last week: Carter moved to 3-0 in non-district play with a 35-7 win over Dallas Madison. It now moves to district play where it will play 1-2 Dallas Kimball in Week 4.

DL Jake McMillon – Abilene (2-5A)
Overall: 1-2 District: 1-0
Last week: McMillon forced three turnovers in Abilene’s 54-14 win over Amarillo Tascoasa to open 2-5A play.

WR Garrett Gray – Marble Falls (25-4A)
Overall: 2-1 District: 0-0
Last week: Gray caught five touchdown passes and had 202 total receiving yards in Marble Falls’ 56-51 win over 3A rival Burnet.

Season: 22 rec, 348 yards, 8 TD

DT Trey Lealaimatafao – San Antonio Warren (27-5A)
Overall: 1-2 District: 0-1
Last week: Warren dropped its opening district game to San Antonio Brandeis, 21-13. Lealaimatafao registered six tackles in the loss.

WR Emanuel Porter – Dallas Lincoln (12-4A)
Overall: 0-2 District: 0-0
Last week: Lincoln drops to 0-2 after a surprising 42-41 loss to Dallas Bishop Dunne. Porter had two catches for 25 yards and a score in the loss.
This week: vs. 1-2 Dallas Madison (11-3A)

WR Dorian Leonard – Longview (12-5A)
Overall: 1-1 District: 0-0
Last week: Longview held off Olive Branch (Miss.) 27-26 behind the running of 2015 RB JaMycal Hasty. Leonard caught his second touchdown of the season in the win.
This week: vs. 1-2 Lufkin (14-5A)

WR Roderick Bernard – Houston Sharpstown (21-4A)
Overall: 1-2 District: 0-1
Last week: Sharpstown was stunned by Waltrip, 40-19, in their district opener.
