Texas pledges in action: Week 10

QB Jerrod Heard – No. 7 Denton Guyer (5-4A)
Overall: 8-2 District: 7-0
Last week: Guyer finished the season perfect in district play after a 70-7 win over Fort Worth Brewer. Heard accounted for 271 yards and four touchdowns, including a 57-yard scamper in the second quarter.
4AD1 Bi-District round: vs. Saginaw 5-5 (5-3); at Justin Northwest ISD Stadium
Season stats: 89/156, 1,405 yards, 14 TD, 6 Int; 154  rush, 1,379 yards, 17 TD

DE Derick Roberson – No. 2 San Antonio Brennan (28-4A)
Overall: 10-0 District: 6-0
Last week: Brennan had the week off after cruiting to a 10-0 regular season mark. The Bears finished the season with average district scores of 64.5-1.5, including four shutouts in six contests.
4AD1 Bi-District round: vs. Schertz Clemens 8-2 (5-2); at Farris Stadium
Season stats: 63  tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 12 sacks

WR Armanti Foreman/RB D’Onta Foreman – No. 4 Texas City (24-4A)
Overall: 10-0 District 7-0
Last week: Texas City capped off its undefeated regular season with a 56-25 win over Baytown Lee. D’Onta Foreman continued his strong play with 208 yards and three scores on 15 carries.
4AD2 Bi-District round: vs. Rosenberg Terry 5-4 (4-2); at Rice Stadium (Thursday)

RB Donald Catalon – Aldine Eisenhower (18-5A)
Overall: 4-6 District 4-2
Last week: After already locking up a spot in the playoffs a week prior, Eisenhower went out and finished the season strong with a 62-3 drubbing of Houston Aldine. The future Longhorn running back ran 11 times for 80 yards and a touchdown in the win.
5AD2 Bi-District round: vs. Houston Cy-Ridge 6-4 (6-3); Thorne Stadium
Season: 101 rush, 604 yards 6 TD; 13 rec, 275 yards, 2 TD

S John Bonney – No. 5 Houston Lamar (20-5A)
Overall: 9-0 District: 6-0
Last week: Lamar finished the regular season with a bang, topping Houston Chavez 63-0. Bonney and the Redskins defense allowed only 124 total yards and just 32 through the air.
5AD1 Bi-District round: vs. Katy Morton Ranch 7-3 (4-3); at Rhodes Stadium (Thursday)

LB Otaro Alaka – Cy Falls (17-5A)
Overall: 2-8 District: 2-7
Last week: Falls limped to the finish with its third straight loss, a 54-28 decision at Cypress Ranch.

WR Lorenzo Joe – Abilene Cooper (2-5A)
Overall: 6-4 District 5-3
Last week: Cooper was off in the final week of the regular season to get itself healed and ready for the playoffs.
5AD2 Bi-District round: vs. El Paso Coronado 8-2 (6-1); at Grande Communications Stadium
Season: 91/165, 1,1495 yards, 12 TD, 5 INT; 164 rush, 1,432 yards, 18 TD

RB Kevin Shorter – No. 2 Newton (10-2A Division 1)
Overall: 10-0 District 7-0
Last week: With Shorter still out due to a concussion in Week 6, Newton was able to finish the regular season undefeated. The Eagles topped Woodville 42-0 to take a 10-0 record into the 2A Division 1 playoffs.
2AD1 Bi-District round: vs. Troup 6-4 (2-3); at Abe Martin Stadium
Season (6 games): 61 rush, 630 yards, 9 TD; 11 rec, 224 yards, 4 TD
C Terrell Cuney – Jasper (20-3A)
Overall: 6-3 District: 3-1
Last week: Jasper dominated three of four district foes, it dominated Center 52-14 on Friday, and enters the 3A Division 1 playoffs having won five of its last six games.
Next week: vs. Center 2-7 (2-1)

DE Sione Teuhema – Keller (4-5A)
Overall: 5-5 District: 2-5
Last week: After starting the season 3-0, Keller finished just 2-5 after its 30-23 season-ending loss to Richland..

LB Cameron Hampton – Dallas Carter (11-4A)
Overall: 9-1 District: 7-0
Last week: The season-opening forfeit to Lakeview Centennial is the only blemish for Carter this regular season. The Cowboys topped Seagonville 41-28 to preserve their perfect district record.
4AD2 Bi-District round: vs. Dallas Lincoln 7-3 (6-1); at Forester Stadium (Thursday)

DL Jake McMillon – Abilene (2-5A)
Overall: 3-7 District: 3-5
Last week: Abilene needed a lot to go right on the final weekend to make the playoffs, but the Eagles didn’t give themselves a chance to scoreboard watch, losing 30-28 to Midland.
Next week: DONE
Season: 29 tackles, 1 sack, 1 INT

WR Garrett Gray – Marble Falls (25-4A)
Overall: 4-6 District: 2-4
Last week: Marble Falls had a win-and-in situation against Leander Friday night, but came up short and will miss the playoffs. Gray caught nine passes for 90 yards and also rushed nine times for92 yards and a score in the loss.

Season: 75 rec, 1,191 yards, 16 TD; 15 rush, 94 yards, 4 TD

DT Trey Lealaimatafao – San Antonio Warren (27-5A)
Overall: 8-2 District: 7-1
Last week: Warren finished the regular season with a seven-game winning streak after its 55-35 win over SA Clark over the weekend. Lealimatafao registered six tackles, one tackle for loss, a forced fumble and two recoveries in the win.
5AD1 Bi-District round: vs. SA East Cental 5-5 (3-2); at Gustafson Stadium
Season: 48 tackles, 7 TFL

WR Emanuel Porter – Dallas Lincoln (12-4A)
Overall: 7-3 District: 6-1
Last week: Lincoln finished the regular season winners of its last five with a 29-6 decision at Dallas Adams. Porter caught four passes for 62 yards but was kept out of the endzone.
4AD2 Bi-District round: vs. Dallas Carter 9-1 (7-0); at Forester Stadium (Thursday)
Season: 35 rec, 575 yards, 7 TD

WR Dorian Leonard – No. 13 Longview (12-5A)
Overall: 9-1 District: 6-0
Last week: A 41-7 win over Rockwall means Longivew finished the regular season 9-1 – its only loss coming to 12th-ranked Coppell by eight points in the first game of the season.
5AD2 Bi-District round: vs. Rowlett 4-6 (3-3); at Kincaide Stadium
Season: 28 rec, 527 yards, 8 TD

WR Roderick Bernard – Houston Sharpstown (21-4A)
Overall: 5-5 District: 4-4
Last week: Sharpstown did what it could on the final weekend, beating Houston Lee 29-9, but lost out on tiebreakers and will just miss the playoffs. .

Season: 24 rec, 361 yards, 2 TD; 54 rush, 543 yards, 4 TD

S Jason Hall – South Grand Prairie (7-5A)
Overall: 4-6 District: 2-5
Last week: South Grand Prairie ended a rough season on a positive note with a 48-14 win over Grand Prairie. The two-game winning streak to end the year was too little too late for Hall and the Warriors.
