Some top targets expected for second junior day

Posted February 28th, 2014

Texas will host its second and final junior day of the 2015 recruiting cycle on Saturday. A group of talented high school seniors-to-be will come in for the second straight weekend for an all-day visit with the Longhorn coaching staff.

Last week, the day resulted in two new verbal commitments and a lot of positive buzz about Charlie Strong and the direction of the program.

While there’s less hype going into the second junior day, the group coming into Austin still has a few big names, and a handful of players Texas would love to add to its 2015 class.

Here are 17 of the players UT expects to host Saturday:

ATH Blake Lynch – Troup (Baylor pledge)

ATH Billy McCrary – Leander Rouse

DE James Lockhart – Ennis

DE Breylin Mitchell – Round Rock (TCU pledge)

DT Darrion Daniels – Bishop Dunne

DT Ross Donnelly – Cy-Fair

DT Bryce English – DeSoto (Texas pledge)

LB Riley Garner – A&M Consolidated

LB Malik Jefferson – Mesquite Poteet

OG Tyler Higby- Houston Kinkaid

OT Connor Dyer – Mesquite Horn

QB Quniten Dormady – Boerne

RB Derrius Guice – Baton Rouge (LA) Catholic

S Kahlil Haughton – Waco Midway

WR James Proche – Dallas Prime Prep Academy
