There was a David Ash sighting today. On Twitter, anyway.
Texas’ quarterback, who missed Saturday’s Orange-White game with a Jones fracture of his left foot, has tweeted out two separate messages today — one looking back to Saturday, the other looking forward.
“Proud of all my boys this weekend! Esp. @tyroneswoopes1 @MilesOnyay17. We know that all our hard work under Coach Strong will pay off.”
“Appreciate all the prayers & support. Recovery is under way..and can’t wait to start throwing again soon! #phil3:14 #pressontowardthegoal”
The tweets were Ash’s first public comments since late March. He had told Texas’ sports information folks that he didn’t want to speak to the media until after the spring game. He was at Royal-Memorial Stadium for the game, but did not speak since he didn’t play.
