Posted May 8th, 2014

The production company for an upcoming moving about University of Texas football is having an open casting call for paid extras who want to be included.

Brock & Allen Casting says all positions are paid, and extras will be guaranteed $58 for eight hours of work. Additional overtime may apply.

They’re specifically looking for students (ages 18-26), coaches, parents, grandparents, cheerleaders, sideline football players and anyone with a late-’60’s era automobile.

The film titled My All American tells the story about former Texas player Freddie Steinmark and the 1969 national championship team. Earlier this week, producers announced that actor Aaron Eckhart has been signed to play coach Darrell Royal.

The film is directed by Angelo Pizzo, who wrote and produced Hoosiers and Rudy.

The casting call is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Best Western Plus Austin City Hotel, located at 2200 South Interstate 35. The hotel is located at the intersection of Oltorf Street and the Interstate 35 frontage road, just north of Travis High School.
