Texas quarterback Miles Onyegbule posted a message on his Facebook account late Sunday saying that he suffered a torn ACL and will miss his senior year.
Onyegbule’s career is likely now over, having suffered multiple injuries over the years. He was a backup receiver his first three years and moved to quarterback last spring to give that position more numbers.
“It’s been a tough ride during my career on the 40 (Acres), but I wouldn’t change a thing in the world due to the strength, knowledge and relationships it has given me,” Onyegbule’s message said. “God has a plan and I have the faith to believe in it. God bless and Hook em. Kick em always.”
The Facebook post has since been deleted. Onyegbule’s Facebook post was first reported by KEYE-TV. A Texas spokesman could not confirm Onyegbule’s injury or his status.
Onyegbule, who attended high school at Arlington, had four career receptions in 2011.
