Texas releases 2016 baseball schedule

Texas baseball will host 12 of its first 13 games in the 2016 season, according to a schedule posted on the school’s website.

The Longhorns will open the year with three home games against UNLV from Feb. 19-21. Stanford and Cal come to Austin the next two weekends.

From March 11-13, Texas will play three games at UCLA. The Bruins were the top overall seed in last year’s NCAA field.


Augie Garrido’s team will go to Texas A&M on March 15, a Tuesday.

Big 12 play begins at home against defending regular season champion TCU beginning on March 24.
