Having survived triple overtime and TCU last week, Baylor (9-0, 6-0 Big 12) is one of five undefeated teams left on the FBS level. The Bears, who are ranked 12th in the AP poll, will host No. 10 Oklahoma this week. ESPN’s College GameDay show is set to be in Waco for those festivities.
Texas is the 22nd team listed in the AP’s poll. The Longhorns improved to 6-3 this season with a 27-24 win over Kansas State this past Saturday. Texas has won four of it six Big 12 games. UT will battle Iowa State on the road this weekend.
Texas owns an all-time record of 78-26-4 against Baylor. The Bears recently won four games during the five-year stretch between 2010 and 2014. UT’s 23-17 win in Austin last season, though, was the Longhorns’ fourth straight victory in the series.
