Big 12 sets up an afternoon meeting between Texas and Baylor’s football teams

Posted November 17th, 2019

Texas and Baylor will play at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 23, the Big 12 announced on Saturday night.

FS1 will televise the action from Waco’s McLane Stadium. This meeting will be the 109th between Texas and Baylor. The Longhorns have won four straight games in a series it leads 78-26-4.

Baylor (9-1, 6-1 Big 12) and Texas (6-4, 4-3) were seated 13th and 19th in last week’s College Football Playoff rankings. Both teams, however, were on the wrong ends of close calls this weekend. Texas was beaten 23-21 at Iowa State. Baylor squandered a 28-3 lead in a 34-31 loss to No. 10 Oklahoma.

This will not be the only battle between Texas and Baylor’s athletic departments this week. On Wednesday night, Baylor’s volleyball team will host its UT counterpart. Texas (19-2, 13-0) and Baylor (21-1, 11-1) are currently the nation’s first- and third-ranked teams.
