Beau Hossler named Big 12 Player of the Year for second time

Beau Hossler became the first golfer in UT history to win the Big 12 player of the year award twice in his career.
In all, three golfers were named to the All-Big 12 team for Texas while head coach John Fields took coach of the year honors for the fourth straight year. It was the 11th conference coach of the year award Fields has won. It’s his eighth Big 12 Coach of the Year honor.
Hossler has been named to the All-Big 12 team for three straight years. He takes his second consecutive Player of the Year award after winning five tournaments and was is currently the top-ranked collegiate player according to GolfWeek. In 2014 he was named the Big 12 newcomer of the year.
Gavin Hall and Doug Ghim were also named to the All-Big 12 team, each for a second time. Hall took medalist honors twice this year while Ghim finished in the top-10 six times.
