Did you know that Bevo XIV made a trip to the White House for President George W. Bush’s inauguration? Or that he will appear in the upcoming film “My All American,” about former Texas standout Freddie Steinmark?

Following the announcement that Bevo XIV is retiring immediately due to a cancer diagnosis, the university released this video to celebrate the mascot’s reign:

Bevo XIV, who began his tenure in 2004, is retiring just days after the Longhorns’ victory over Oklahoma in Dallas, though he wasn’t able to make the trip.
