And in case you weren’t aware, our new bovine friend has been passing these off-season days playing the social media game on Twitter. But today, the Longhorn reminded us that the first game is just around the corner by announcing he received his 2016 “uniform.”

By “uniform” he means the iconic “Bevo” halter that many great Longhorns have worn before him, including Bevo XIV who died of cancer in October. The Silver Spurs Alumni Association announced Bevo XV would be the next UT mascot in May.

“Bevo XV has all of the characteristics that we were looking for — he is a beautiful steer with great disposition, color and a championship pedigree,” said the news release. “He will be ready for gameday.”

Well Bevo XV, we can’t wait to see you in all your stylish glory Sept. 4.
