Texas sophomore Jacob Pickle won the men’s 8K run and Sandie Raines took the women’s 6K race at the Longhorn Invitational on Friday at Spicewood Course at Balcones Country Club.
Raines ran the 6K in 18 minutes, 18 seconds and Pickle took the 8K in 25 minutes 21 seconds.
The Texas women’s team placed all seven of their runners in the top 15 and finished first with 23 points. Texas freshman Alex Cruz finished second in 18 minutes 21 seconds and UT’s Katie Burford was fifth at 18 minutes 42 seconds.
The Texas men’s team finished one point short of first-place North Texas. The Mean Green scored 40 points had three runners place in the top eight. Texas’ Brady Turnball finished in sixth place and Alex Rodgers was tenth at 25 minutes 45 seconds.
