Breaunna Addison advances at ITA All-American Championships

Breaunna Addison is one match victory away from advancing to the main singles draw at the ITA All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, Calif. She had to win twice on Tuesday to advance to Wednesday’s third round of qualifying.

The event is one of three national championship tournaments on the college tennis schedule.

The two-time All-American defeated Paige Hourigan of Georgia Tech 6-3, 6-2 before cruising against Valeria Salazar Garza of Syracuse 6-2, 6-1.

The lone entry for the Longhorns will face either Stephanie Nauta of Virginia or Kaitlyn McCarthy of Duke at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
