Breaunna Addison advances to main singles draw at ITA All-American Championships
Posted October 7th, 2015
Texas senior Breaunna Addison won for the third time in two days to advance to the main singles draw at the ITA All-American Championships in Los Angeles, Calif. on Wednesday. The two-time All-American defeated Virginia’s Stephanie Nauta 6-4, 6-1 at the first of three national championship events on the college tennis calendar.
Addison needed the win to qualify for the main singles draw a day after winning a pair of matches in Tuesday’s qualifying rounds.
Addison’s first-round match will be against Frances Altick of Vanderbilt at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Altick has also won three consecutive straight-sets matches to reach the main draw.
This is Addison’s third consecutive appearance in the main singles draw at the ITA All-American Championships. She reached the second round of the event last season.
