Brown led Texas to the 2005 BCS National Championship and left the University of Texas in 2013. He’s been an analyst for ESPN since stepping down as head coach.
South Carolina recently lost head coach Steve Spurrier after the longtime coach resigned on Monday.
Brown called the Kentucky-Auburn game Thursday night.
