Maybe Texas should play in the rain more often?
Despite 13 inches of rain and winds over 20 mph, the Longhorns are heating things up at DKR as they enter halftime with a 16-6 lead. Huge performances from the offensive line and the Texas run game have been a huge help for the Horns today.
A series of penalties against the Longhorns with less than a minute to go in the second quarter led to Kansas State scoring its first points of the game with 32 seconds before halftime. The Wildcats scored a touchdown when Hubener passed to a wide-open Heath in the end zone. Kansas State elected to go for two, but failed to capitalize.
Texas is 8-1 when scoring first under head coach Charlie Strong.
2nd quarter update: 16-0 and 13 inches of rain. #hookem
