Texas strikes first against Kansas State
Posted October 24th, 2015
Hoping to continue the momentum from the shocking victory over Oklahoma two weeks ago, the Texas Longhorns are battling the Kansas State Wildcats through rain or shine in Austin.
After going up 3-0 in the first quarter, Texas scored their first TD early in the second. Freshmen QB Jerrod Heard showed just how well he sees the field on an eight yard run to set the Longhorns up in touchdown territory.
Tyrone “18-wheeler” Swoopes punched in the TD on the next play. Swoopes running into the end zone, the offensive line holding their ground and kicker Nick Rose clinching the extra point put the Longhorns up 10-0.

It has taken a season and a half, but Texas' offensive line looks formidable. An identity is being formed on offense. 10-0 Horns.
