The Texas women’s tennis team won three of four singles matches against Penn State in the final round of the Kitty Harrison Invitational on Sunday in Durham, North Carolina.
Texas junior Neda Koprcina defeated Devan McCluskey in three sets 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 and senior Lana Groenvynck beat Jacqueline Zuhse in straight sets 6-3, 6-1. Texas freshman Chelsea Crovetti routed Liyin Xu 6-1, 6-1. UT’s Dani Wagland fell in straight sets to Katia Blik 6-4, 6-4.
Texas senior Breaunna Addison will compete in the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships starting Thursday in New York City. The rest of the team will travel to the ASU Thunderbird Invite later this week.
