Texas shot a 297 in the second round and dropped to sixth place at 20-over par at the UCF Challenge on Monday in Orlando.
The Longhorns, who entered the second round in second place after shooting a 299 on Sunday, are 12 shots behind leader Missouri. The Tigers shot 5-under par on Monday.
Missouri’s Michelle Butler eagled the par-5 eighteenth hole to finish with a 2-under par 70 and is tied for first place with East Carolina’s Frida Gustafsson Spang at 3-under par.
Spang, Augusta University’s Josefine Nyqvist and Iowa State’s Chayanit Wangmahaporn carded low rounds of 68. Nyqvist is in third place at 2-under par and Wangmahaporn is in fifth place at even par. The Cyclones have two players in the top six and are in third place, four shots behind the Tigers. Tulane is in second place at 11-over par.
UT’s Haley Mills had four bogeys and a birdie and is tied for 13th place at 3-over par. Texas’ Julia Beck followed an opening round 77 with a 1-under 71 and is tied for 18th place at 4-over par. Longhorn Sophia Schubert shot a 75 in the second round and is tied for 22nd place at 5-over par.
