The Longhorns (24-9) scored at least one run in each of the first four innings of the second game to complete the sweep. Eight different players accounted for an RBI in the game.

Lindsey Stephens, fresh off of being named Big 12 conference player of the week, was 2-for-2 with two doubles, an RBI and two runs scored. Kelli Hanzel was also 2-for-2 with an RBI and a triple.

Stephanie Wong, Celina Felix, Devon Tunning, Reagan Hathaway and Randel Leahy each drove home a run in the game.

Felix and von Sprecken each had two hits on the way to helping the Longhorns earn a 4-1 win over the Miners in the first game of a doubleheader.

Tiarra Davis (14-7) picked up her 14th win in her 16th complete game of the year as she allowed one run on eight hits while striking out seven.

Stephens drove in a run as Felix had an RBI and von Sprecken had a double to go along with two RBIs. Stephanie Ceo scored two runs for Texas and had a stolen base.

The Longhorns put up two runs in back-to-back innings to go up 4-0 in the fourth inning. UTEP (17-23) added one run in the top of the seventh, but their late-inning rally fell short.

Texas will go for its fifth-straight win on Wednesday as they face UTSA at 6 p.m. in San Antonio.
