After a little less than two years, and a 10-5 drubbing of UCLA, Texas has finally achieved a three-game sweep and five game winning streak — the last time The Longhorns had one of each was in March 2015 and May 2015, respectively.
It was a complete offensive domination by the Horns. Fourteen hits. Ten runs. Every starter had a hit and Kacy Clemens went 3-for-3.
Just like yesterday, Texas scored in the first inning. Austin Todd brought in David Hamilton with a single, and Bret Boswell doubled, bringing in Clemens.
Unlike yesterday, Texas didn’t lead the entire game, UCLA led 4-3 after the top of the fourth inning. The Bruins lead didn’t even last a half-inning as Texas scored two more in the bottom of the fourth, then four in the sixth and on in the eight in what was a four hour game.
Blair Henley got the start and the win. He went 5.2 innings, allowing six hits and four runs with four strikeouts.
