Big 12 media days takeaway: The Cowboys’ venue was the real star this week

Posted July 18th, 2017

FRISCO — A Big 12 media days takeaway from Tuesday:

The Star made a big impression on me in my first visit to Dallas Cowboys Central.

Not sure if this is the House That Romo Built, but I loved the spaciousness of the venue and the Big 12’s organization. The league didn’t even come up with a catchy slogan that we can make fun of this fall.

Initially, I was a bit skeptical of the acoustics, noise level and the overall setup since we worked on a football field, but it offered great access to the breakout sessions, radio row and the all-important dining area. Everything turned out well, so well in fact, that the SEC might even venture here to stage its media days. Jerry Jones always likes making a buck.
