The Texas women’s tennis team had four singles victories to go along with the doubles point as it defeated Princeton 5-2 at the Whitaker Tennis Courts on Tuesday.
The win improved No.35 Texas to 7-4 and was the Longhorns’ second victory over Princeton in a month.
Breaunna Addison and Dani Wagland defeated Amanda Muliawan and Dorothy Tang 6-0 before Neda Koprcina and Daniella Roldan picked up a 6-2 win to secure the doubles point.
Princeton got a singles win before the Longhorns took four straight matches. Lana Groenvynck defeated Emily Hahn 6-3, 6-0 to start the run of victories.
Addison earned her 98th career singles victory when she defeted Muliawan 6-1, 6-2 to put Texas up 3-1. It was her 25th singles win of the season.
Katie Poluta clinched the win for Texas as she defeated Nicole Kalhorn 6-4, 6-1 at fourth singles, giving Texas an insurmountable 4-1 lead with two matches to go.
Koprcina picked up the fifth win for Texas, defeating Katrine Steffensen 6-1, 7-5 before Princeton closed the match with a three-set win to make the final 5-2.
