Four-star receiver Tren’Davian Dickson has flipped his commitment from Texas to Baylor, according to multiple reports.
Dickson, of Navasota, was Texas’ only top-20 commitment in the state, according to 247Sports. His departure leaves the Longhorns with nine commitments in the 2016 class.
This marks the second time Dickson, the nation’s record holder for touchdown receptions in a season with 39, has committed to Baylor. He first chose them in July, 2014. He then de-committed this past February and committed to Texas in July.
On Monday, Longhorns coach Charlie Strong was asked about the challenges of recruiting offensive players with uncertainty at offensive coordinator. Many believe Jay Norvell, who took over for Shawn Watson in week two, will not get the job long-term.
“We’ll be fine,” Strong said. “Those guys see it. They understand what’s going on.”
