Alief Elsik LB Dontavious Jackson picks Florida State

Alief Elsik linebacker Dontavious Jackson announced Wednesday he was signing with Florida State.
Jackson, considered the nation’s fourth-best inside linebacker, held offers from most of the major schools, including Texas, Alabama and Michigan.
Jackson (6-2, 239 pounds) took official visits to Florida and Alabama in the second half of January. However, he took an unofficial visit to Texas last weekend. It was thought he was leaning toward the Longhorns.
“Florida State, the coaching staff make me feel very comfortable,” Jackson said during his announcement on ESPNU.
