Defensive tackle Jordan Elliott first committed to Houston. Then, after getting a Texas-shaped birthday day from Jim Harbaugh, Elliott chose Michigan.

But on national signing day, the Houston Westside product chose Texas.

“I just want to make my family proud,” Elliott said at the Houston ISD signing day ceremony.

Elliott announced he was backing out of his Michigan commitment last week, not longer after taking his official visit to Austin. The four-star prospect is the fifth defensive tackle who signed with UT in the 2016 recruiting class.
