Texas signee Brandon Jones named Parade All-American
Posted February 8th, 2016
One of Texas’ top recruits in the 2016 class has added another honor to his preps resume. Nacogdoches safety Brandon Jones was named an honorable mention Parade All-American late last week. He’s the only Longhorns commit tabbed to the annual list honoring the nation’s best high school players.
Other in-state members of this year’s team include: McAllen running back Trevor Speights (Stanford), Navasota wide receiver Tren’Davian Dickson (Baylor), Allen offensive lineman Greg Little (Mississippi), Mansfield quarterback Jeff Duffey (Texas Tech) and Westfield defensive lineman Ed Oliver (Houston).
Jones chose the Longhorns over Baylor and Texas A&M on national signing day, adding to Charlie Strong’s late push last Wednesday.
