Posted March 12th, 2016

ESPN staff writer Adam Rittenberg must have some time on his hands, or maybe he doesn’t like basketball that much.

The college football reporter ranked the best college football coaches in the country based on their own college football playing days.

So where was Texas football coach Charlie Strong, who played safety at Central Arkansas State in the NAIA level?

Well, the Central Arkansas Hall of Famer landed at No. 84 following a career that put him on three all-conference lists.

Strong was also an all-league track and field standout, according to Rittenberg.
