2:30 p.m.: It appears nine 2019 signees will arrive on campus early as well, participating in spring practices:

1 p.m.: Top national running back Trey Sanders picks Alabama after a late push from Tom Herman and the Texas coaches:

1 p.m.: Hookem.com’s Mike Craven was on hand for Melissa WR Kennedy Lewis’ commitment today. Look for a story later on the site about Texas recruiting and how the Metroplex may hold some promise for the Longhorns in future recruiting classes.

9:45 a.m.: Signing No. 21 for the Longhorns on Wednesday is a junior college linebacker. Texas held off late charges from Oregon and Colorado for Caleb Johnson.

9:25 a.m.: Texas lands another linebacker, De’Gabriel Floyd from California.

9:03 a.m.: The Big 12 requires linebackers with speed, and Texas found one in converted safety Marcus Tillman Jr.

8:57 a.m.: Emmanuel Acho is excited about wide receiver Jake Smith.

8:48 a.m.: Texas Athletic Director Chris Del Conte talks signing day on Longhorn Network.

8:44 a.m.: The Longhorns had to hold off Missouri to pluck Marcus Washington out of St. Louis. They succeeded.

8:25 a.m.: Six more players signed after 8 a.m. CT, bringing the total to 17 players thus far in Texas’ 2019 class.

7:43 a.m.: Defensive end T’Vondre Sweat makes it official.
