Bohls: Buckeyes top my AP Top 25 ballot
Posted September 29th, 2019
Story highlights
- For the first time this season, my Associated Press Top 25 ballot reflects a change at the top, thanks to a near upset of Clemson by Mack Brown's plucky North Carolina and yet more total domination by Ohio State, this time over outmatched Nebraska.
- I inserted Ohio State in my No. 1 spot and bumped Clemson down to No. 3. Otherwise, my top dozen remained unchanged.
- Newcomers in my voting are No. 20 Arizona State, No. 23 Wake Forest and No. 24 Oklahoma State. I hated leaving out Pitt, Toledo and Baylor.
I’m all in on the Buckeyes.
For the first time this season, my Associated Press Top 25 ballot reflects a change at the top, thanks to a near upset of Clemson by Mack Brown’s plucky North Carolina and yet more total domination by Ohio State, this time over outmatched Nebraska.
I really think Ohio State can sneeze and score another touchdown. It’s become an automatic reflex. New head coach, new quarterback, doesn’t matter. Under new head coach Ryan Day and quarterbacks Justin Fields, the i Dotters have scored 42 points or more in every game of their 5-0 season, averaging 536 yards and 52 points a game.
So I inserted Ohio State in my No. 1 spot and bumped Clemson down to No. 3. Otherwise, my top dozen remained unchanged.
Newcomers in my voting are No. 20 Arizona State, No. 23 Wake Forest and No. 24 Oklahoma State. I hated leaving out Pitt, Toledo, Baylor and Appalachian State.
