Finally our first big upset of the season.

And we’re not talking about Kansas covering the three-touchdown spread.

Wisconsin’s stunning loss to 30-point underdog Illinois will shake up today’s Associated Press Top 25 poll and could ultimately hurt the Big Ten, especially if the Badgers turn the tables and upset my top-ranked team, Ohio State.

I altered my Top 10 and moved Oklahoma ahead of No. 4 Alabama because the Sooners look indestructible and the Crimson Tide may be without quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for a game or two.

As for Texas, I bumped the Longhorns down to No. 21. Some wonder if they should even be ranked after their escape of lowly Kansas, which is a valid point. A win is a win, even an ugly win, but I dropped Texas down five spots.

Baylor and SMU made the biggest jumps in my rankings, rising to No. 14 and No. 15. Who knows, maybe the two will meet in the Cotton Bowl.

Newcomers include Iowa, Iowa State and Wake Forest.

Here’s my top 25:

  1. Ohio State
  2. LSU
  3. Oklahoma
  4. Alabama
  5. Clemson
  6. Penn State
  7. Notre Dame
  8. Florida
  9. Auburn
  10. Oregon
  11. Utah
  12. Georgia
  13. Wisconsin
  14. Baylor
  15. SMU
  16. Minnesota
  17. Cincinnati
  18. Boise State
  19. Michigan
  20. Arizona State
  21. Texas
  22. Iowa
  23. Iowa State
  24. Appalachian State
  25. Wake Forest
