Tom Herman added to the 2018 recruiting class by landing Rafiti Ghirmai, a four-star offensive tackle from Frisco Wakeland. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound prospect is ranked No. 33 on the Fabulous 55. He’s the No. 282 ranked player nationally and the No. 21 ranked offensive tackle prospect in the 2018 recruiting class, per 247Sports Composite.

The decision from Ghirmai finally gives the Longhorns their second offensive line commit of the class. Since April, the lone offensive line commit was Reese Moore, a prep tight end from Seminole High School expected to move to offensive tackle in college.
Ghirmai’s commitment gives Texas 18 commitments in the 2018 recruiting class, which trails just Ohio State and currently ranks as the No. 2 class in the nation, per 247Sports Composite. Ghirmai is a big-bodied offensive tackle with a long enough frame to stick at right tackle or transition inside to guard or center.
