The out-of-state commits

Cameron Rising, quarterback, Newbury Park (Calif.)

FYI: 6-2/209; 4 stars; No. 157-ranked player nationally, per 247Sports composite

Rising and Newbury Park (2-1) head into a Friday contest against Valencia (Calif.). Rising is running out of options to throw to with injuries to his key receivers and tight ends. Through three games, he has 742 yards passing and 9 touchdowns to just 1 interception. He’s added 186 yards and five rushing touchdowns.

Rondale Moore, wide receiver, Trinity (Ky.)

FYI: 5-8.5/174; 4 stars; No. 200 player nationally

The rumblings surrounding Moore are that he’s looking elsewhere, specifically Purdue. He’s yet to de-commit and a trip to Austin during the season to watch a game would be the best way for the Longhorns to strengthen the commitment of the small, but electric receiver. His team is 3-0 to start the season.

Casey Thompson, quarterback, Newcastle (Okla.)

FYI: 6-1/184; 4 stars; No. 112 player nationally

Thompson transferred schools over the summer, following his former offensive coordinator Jeff Brickman from Southmoore High to Newcastle. The start of the season isn’t going as planned with Newcastle entering the Friday night game against Blanchard (Okla.) in search of its first win. Thompson has 517 yards and 4 touchdowns passing and leads his team with 219 rushing yards.

Ayodele Adeoye, linebacker, IMG Academy (Fla.)

FYI: 6-0/231; 4 stars; No. 112 player nationally

IMG Academy continues its march toward a mythical high school national championship with a home game against St. John’s (D.C.) Friday. IMG started the year with wins over elite programs from California and Arizona with Adeoye getting limited action as a linebacker.

Dominick Wood-Anderson, tight end, Arizona Western College (JUCO)

FYI: 6-5/245; 3 stars; No. 11-ranked JUCO player nationally

Arizona Western College hopes to become 3-0 with a home game against Eastern Illinois on Saturday. Wood-Anderson has 3 catches for 54 yards through two games.
