For the first time since a fateful day in 2006 Texas will play Southern California in the Longhorns’ biggest nonconference game of the 2017 season.

The last time Texas played USC, Vince Young stole the show en route to Texas’ fourth national championship.

Texas and USC kickoff at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum against the No. 4-ranked Trojans. The  Longhorns haven’t faced a top-5 nonconference opponent in the regular season since hosting No. 1 Ohio State in 2006 — Colt McCoy’s second start at Texas.

Will another freshman get his second start today for the Longhorns in Sam Ehlinger? Or will sophomore Shane Buechele resume his duties as the starter?

Or will it be USC’s highly-touted quarterback Sam Darnold shining tonight?

Follow all the action with live stats, photos and analysis from Brian Davis, Danny Davis, Cedric Golden and Kirk Bohls.
