The Longhorns will have one of their greats out for the Red River Rivalry coin toss — Jordan Spieth.

Spieth attended Texas before turning pro in 2012. Now, he’s a three-time major winner, and holds the 2015 FedEx Cup. He was also named in Time‘s 2016 list of the 100 Most Influential People.
The Longhorns have a much better chance at winning Saturday’s game than anyone thought a month ago. After being shredded in the season opener against Maryland, the Texas defense looks incredibly strong. Quarterback Sam Ehlinger has brought a spark of life to the offense, and the Longhorns are riding a small win streak headed into the game.
If they’re going to beat Oklahoma, they’ll need to play excellently, but it’s not out of the question. The Sooners have several key players nursing injuries, and even if they play, they won’t be at full speed. Their loss to Iowa State last Saturday was a bad one, and it exposed several weaknesses the Sooners have, particularly in the secondary.
