TEXAS (8-3)

No., Pos., Name, Class, Ht., PPG, RPG

2, G, Matt Coleman, Fr., 6-2, 6.9, 4.1*

10, G, Jacob Young, Soph., 6-2, 5.7, 1.7

12, G, Kerwin Roach Jr., Jr., 6-4, 10.9, 3.8

21, F, Dylan Osetkowski, Jr., 6-9, 15.2, 7.5

4, C, Mo Bamba, Fr., 6-11, 10.3, 9.7

About the Longhorns: Mo Bamba was 1 for 8 shooting in Monday’s win over Tennessee State. Dylan Osetkowski was 7 for 8 inside the 3-point line while Jericho Sims was 3 for 3. When outside shots are not falling, the Horns must look to their big men. “When the game is going the way it was in the first half, there has to be an added emphasis on throwing the ball inside,” coach Shaka Smart said. … G Eric Davis Jr. is expected to return from a right wrist injury. There is still no definite return date pegged for Andrew Jones (fractured wrist). … Walk-on Joe Schwartz raised $10,000 online to buy toys for Dell Children’s Hospital. Last year, he raised $5,000. Schwartz gets toy ideas from what the children put on wish lists.

ALABAMA (8-3)

No., Pos., Name, Class, Ht., PPG, RPG

0, F, Donta Hall, Jr., 6-9, 11.9, 7.8

1, G/F, Riley Norris, Sr., 6-7, 5.4, 2.8

2, G, Collin Sexton, Fr., 6-3, 21.7, 3.5

12, G, Dazon Ingram, Soph., 6-5, 11.4, 6.5

23, G, John Petty, Fr., 6-5, 12.8, 2.5

About the Crimson Tide: Coach Avery Johnson had a huge recruiting coup when he landed Collin Sexton, and the standout freshman hasn’t disappointed. He’s already set the Alabama freshman scoring record with a 40-point outburst against Minnesota. He leads the SEC in scoring and made free throws (77). He’ll be a huge challenge for Kerwin Roach, who wants to become the Big 12’s best defensive player. … The Tide is hovering just outside the Top 25 after playing a brutal non-conference schedule, including games against Arizona and Minnesota. … Donta Hall is among the top five nationally in field-goal percentage (.743). He scored a career-high 20 against Central Florida.
