On the same day it’ll try to avenge last year’s loss to Iowa State, Texas will play host to the nation’s second-ranked recruit.
Dylan Moses, a five-star outside linebacker from IMG Academy in Florida, announced the five schools he’ll visit this fall, and included is a stop to Austin to watch Texas play Iowa State on Oct .15.
The Longhorns will be Moses’ third visit following trips to Alabama (Oct. 1) and Miami (Oct. 8). After a month break, Moses will take his final two visits to UCLA (Nov. 19) and Ohio State (Nov. 26). He plans to announce his choice in December.
Originally from Baton Rouge, La., Moses is not considering hometown LSU.
In April, Moses declared Texas his favorite after making a visit to the school. He was first pursued as an eight grader by former Longhorns coach Mack Brown.
One can safely assume Longhorns linebacker Malik Jefferson will make a strong push for Moses to pick Texas. Jefferson, himself a major recruit in 2015, has become the face of the program and has been instrumental in landing top talent over the past two years. He’ll want to take Moses under his wing.
