Texas freshman Greta Volker shot 1 under par through two rounds to tie for first place and help the Texas women’s golf team take the lead at the Minnesota Invitational on Monday in Minneapolis.
Volker shot 3 over par in the first round, then carded a 4-under 68. She birdied five of her final eight holes to finish in a four-way tie for first. Volker’s 68 was the low round of the day.
Texas freshman Emilee Hoffman shot 1 under par in the first round and followed with a 5-over 77 and is in 16th place at 4 over. UT’s Sophia Schubert and Julia Beck are tied for 25th place at 7 over.
The Longhorns hold a one stroke lead over Purdue and Louisville heading into the final round.
