Did Longhorn mascot Hook’em actually win the Beyoncé costume contest?

When Ellen DeGeneres called on UT’s Beyoncé lovers to get in formation, they were quick to grab wigs, makeshift “KALE” sweatshirts and all sorts of fake pregnant bellies. Although the pair of Grammy tickets up for grabs were eventually awarded to sophomore Collin Wang (for an amazing underwater getup), let’s talk about who really won the popular vote.

Beloved Longhorn mascot (no, not that one) Hook ’em also made his way out to the main lawn to showcase his best Beyoncé. We’ll always remember the time Bey posed for a picture while donning a conveniently tucked burnt orange David Ash jersey. And now we’ll remember the time Hook’em (well, at least someone wearing a Hook ’em costume) recreated the look:
