Jack Conger named national swimmer of week

Jack Conger, a versatile competitor for the top-ranked Longhorn men’s team, has earned national swimmer of the week.
Conger was selected by CollegeSwimming.com. He’s the second Texas swimmer to earn the honor this season. Clark Smith was honored last month.
Conger helped the Longhorns beat No. 8 Auburn and No. 3 Georgia in dual meets last week. He won the 200-yard butterfly and swam a leg of the 200 medley relay against Auburn. In the dual meet against Georgia, he won the 100 and 200 flies.
Conger is a the American record holder in the 200 fly. He was a six-time All-American last year to help lead the Longhorns to the national championship.
