‘We’re planning on winning next year’: Mack Brown agrees to 5-year, $17.5 million deal to coach North Carolina

Mack is back. In Carolina Blue.
Twenty-one years after leaving North Carolina for the Texas coaching position, Mack Brown was introduced today as the next Tarheel football coach. Athletic director Bubba Cunningham called Mack “the most positive, most enthusiastic coach I’ve ever met in my life” before officially bringing Brown up to the dais to speak to the gathered crowd.

Some highlights of the press conference:
Brown has agreed to a five-year, $17.5 million contract with the university. Details include payment from Nike, Learfield (for personal services) and $50,000 per year for personal expenses:
