Michael Dickson can kick the pigskin off the football.
Sometimes during Texas games the last two years it seemed as though he was trying to kick the ball back to his home country of Australia, not inside the 5-yard-line. He was perhaps the Texas defense’s best weapon, flipping fields and making life miserable for those offenses needing points.
It wasn’t a surprise to Longhorn fans that “The Punter” declared for the NFL Draft after winning the Ray Guy Award, and it wasn’t a surprise the Seattle Seahawks traded up to take him in the fifth round of the draft.
Now those who cover the Seahawks may be surprised by something Longhorn followers have known for years: the 21-year-old Aussie has some leg on him.
