Alief Elsik three-star defensive back Chris Brown announced on Wednesday that he’s signing with Texas.
Brown, the nation’s No. 26 safety according to 247Sports’ composite ratings, chose the Longhorns over Michigan and Florida. He is the high school teammate of linebacker Dontavious Jackson, who was also considering Texas coming into the day.
It’s unclear if Brown (5-11, 183 pounds) will play safety or cornerback at Texas. Coming into the day Texas had a commitment from just one defensive back, Waco cornerback Eric Cuffee.
