While the rest of the Texas athletic department is ready to put the Steve Patterson tenure behind them, one local restaurant let him know he’s welcome there with a snarky sign out on 5th Street.
Among many of the chief complaints against Patterson was the surge in prices aimed at football season ticket holders. On Wednesday, Austin Tex-Mex restaurant El Arroyo decided to poke a little fun at the now former Texas athletic director with a special sign just for him.
A little more than a day later, the photo has been shared more than 300 times on Facebook.
The restaurant’s corner sign is famous for witty messages about food and current events and has even taken a serious tone when a notable death occurs. You can check out 12 times El Arroyo’s sign totally nailed it over at Austin360.
