Center Imani Boyette is one of 30 players nationally to be nominated for the NCAA’s Senior CLASS Award, which honors senior student-athletes who have notable accomplishments within their communities, display excellent character and have excelled academically and within NCAA competition. … UT recruits Joyner Holmes and Alecia Sutton have been selected to participate in the McDonald’s All-American Game on March 30 in Chicago. Holmes is a forward from Cedar Hill while Sutton’s a point guard from St. Louis, Mo. … Texas slipped two shots this week’ in the Associated Press Top 25 after an 80-67 loss to Baylor on Sunday. … Texas coach Karen Aston‘s weekly show, called “Game Plan”, made its debut on the Longhorn Network on Monday. The show will air every Monday for the rest of the season.


G Zahna Medley also has been nominated for the Senior CLASS Award. … Last season, the Frogs beat No. 13 Texas 64-59 in Fort Worth. Veja Hamilton  had a team-best 16 points while Medley scored nine of her 11 points in the second half. … TCU is coming off a 58-49 loss at Kansas State on Saturday. … Among the players having a good season for the Horned Frogs is freshman center Jordan Moore, who graduated from Stony Point High this past spring. Next season, Moore will be joined by three Austin-area high school seniors who have signed with TCU: Kianna Ray of Bowie and Vista Ridge teammates Mikayla Christian and Danielle Rainey.
