Scouting the Fabulous 55: No. 44, athlete Quandree White

The mystery on White: Four stars, versatile, lots of speed — but no college offers. Yet.

Taking a closer look at our initial 2018 Fabulous 55 list of the state’s top recruits:

No. 44: Quandree White, ATH, College Station

Scouting White: White is a curious prospect; the 247Sports composite rankings rate the College Station athlete as a four-star prospect, yet he hasn’t received any official offers. It’s hard to imagine a handful of them won’t come his way unless there are off-the-field concerns or grade hurdles to clear. White’s simply too electric on film for programs to pass up without any other red flags behind the scenes. He can play running back, wide receiver or cornerback at the college level; his ability when the ball is in his hands likely will make schools prefer that he stays on offense, either as a slot receiver or a third-down back.

White became a starter on varsity toward the end of his freshman season and continues to be one of the main pieces that has helped College Station emerge from being a new school into a Class 5A contender. He’s a playmaker whose speed and quickness give him an advantage on nearly every field. White’s an aggressive player and would be an asset to most teams in the return game.

Expect White’s offer list to explode as college programs scout the area this spring.
