Jatarie White scored 16 points and collected 12 rebounds to lead the Longhorns women’s basketball team to a 88-56 win Wednesday. Texas topped FSG Academy in an exhibition match in Ponte Buggianese, Italy.

White registered her second straight double double and four other Longhorns scored in double digits in the win.

Alecia Sutton scored 14 points and Chasity Patterson, a freshman, added 12. Two other freshman, Rellah Boothe and Destiny Littleton each scored 11.

“Again, a lot of new faces, so the chemistry is something we’re building,” UT head coach Karen Aston said in a press release. “I thought they looked a little more calm today. We shot the ball better and made better decisions.”

Those decisions led to a bounce-back win for Texas, which improved to 1-1 on the Italy tour. They fell to TK Hannover 52-50 in overtime on Monday.
