The Texas women’s soccer team moved up one spot to No. 7 in the United Soccer Coaches poll after remaining undefeated through the weekend.
The Longhorns are no longer perfect, but are still undefeated after playing Oklahoma to a 0-0 double-overtime draw on Sunday.
Texas (11-0-1, 3-0-1 Big 12) remains in the top 10 of all major polls. They’re No. 7 in the Soccer America listing and No. 8 in the Top Drawer Soccer poll. They fell three spots in the NCAA Ratings Percentage Index to No. 8.
Texas, top-ranked UCLA and Wisconsin-Milwaukee are the only teams still without a loss this season.
The Longhorns host TCU Friday at 7 p.m. and are looking to tie the program’s longest unbeaten streak at 13 matches.
The streak is due in large part to the play of Cyera Hintzen and Haley Berg, this week’s Big 12 honorees.
Hintzen was named the offensive player of the week for the third straight time. She scored two goals in Friday’s win over Texas Tech in double overtime.
Berg was the freshman of the week for the second time in a row. She scored her fourth goal of the season in Friday’s win.
