Texas women’s swimming team wins double dual meet in Florida

The Texas women’s swimming and diving team defeated Indiana and Florida at a double dual meet in Gainesville, Fla. on Saturday.

The No. 3 Longhorns topped No. 10 Indiana 226.5-200.5 while defeating No. 18 Florida 290.5-136.5.

Evie Pfeifer took her first win as a Longhorn with a time of 4 minutes, 13.90 seconds in the 400-yard individual medley.

Rebecca Millard was also victorious on the day, taking the 100 freestyle in 49.61.

Claire Adams won the 200 backstroke in 1:56.04. Teammate Quinn Carrozza finished in second at 1:56.08.

Joanna Evans notched a win in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:47.27.

The Longhorns men’s team fell to Florida 258-171 and Indiana 264-165 in the double dual meet. The Longhorns’ day was highlighted by a win from Ryan Harty. He finised the 200-yard backstroke in 1:44.93. Jonathan Roberts finished second in 1:45.69.
